| In 2006 year, Linde Gas Ningbo Ltd. signed a 5 years contract with Haagen-Dazs. In this contract, Linde Gas will provide a L-200 CRYOLINE linear freezer for Haggen-Dazs to do ice-cream process. Linde Gas also will be a exclusive liquid nitrogen supplier and technology supporter for the special food process.
Haggen-DAZS, an ice cream and food product company in China, will establish a new product line for the ice cream moon cake in the Shanghai plant. The plant is scheduled to start up in the third quarter of 2006 and needs cryogenic quick freezer for the operation of the new product line. The Linde CRYOLINE® L-2000 is one of the most advanced hygienic and efficient range of cryogenic tunnel freezers, using liquid nitrogen (LIN) or liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) as the refrigerant. The very low temperature gives a very fast action that preserves the quality and shape of delicate products and keeps weight losses to a minimum.
The freezer can be opened up completely for cleaning and inspection by raising its upper part and also by lifting the conveyor belt mechanism. This gives full access to all parts of the freezer section.
Together with the all-stainless-steel design and the completely welded inner surfaces this ensures that the freezer satisfies the highest demands of the food industry.
The freezer acts as a countercurrent heat exchanger, in which the cooling medium is sprayed directly on the product, thus efficiently extracting the heat from it. The cold gas generated is circulated around the products by means of effective fans. After absorbing heat from the products the gas is extracted by the exhaust system. This system ensures that the gas will be fully utilized before leaving the freezer thus ensuring very low gas consumption giving low running costs.
The working environment was given the utmost importance during the design by choosing extremely low-noise fans, and by carefully insulating all points through which a contact with the very cold medium could occur.
The freezer is easy to operate by means of automatic control devices and is chilled down and ready for operation in less than fifteen minutes.
